Happy almost Friday!
First off, I am not bragging. I just want to give other polish lovers like myself storage ideas.
I did a nail polish storage and organization post not too long ago but that one was not working for me. You can see that post here. The wall racks were becoming too expensive for a hoarder like me and I needed something different. In comes the Melmer from Michael's. What is the Melmer, you ask? It's pretty much a wooden version of the Helmer from Ikea with only three drawers and it holds about 300 polishes. I went to Michael's and purchased two Melmers (I own a little over 300). Each Melmer was $35 but Michaels has 20-40% off coupons all of the time. Just sign up for their mailing list or go to their website.
First step is to lay out all of the polish.
Then I separated them by color. This is what took the most time because you have to determine which polish goes into which pile. Some greens look blue, some oranges look red, etc.
Then I lined each drawer with liner so the polishes don't shift. I got this roll from Walmart in the kitchen isle but I believe you can get the from the dollar store.
I then put all of the polishes into the drawers.
First up is black, white, and gray.
Next up; blue!
Yellow, orange, brown, and nude.
Pinks and reds.
Last but not least, purple! My favorite drawer.
All done! I'll add labels to the drawers later.
